Introvert or Extrovert?

I’m one of the most introverted people I know

My sister is one of my favorite people and if she sleeps over, I still need to stare at a wall for two days to recover – this is being highly introverted.

This isn’t about labeling yourself- it’s about understanding yourself so you can make meaning of the world around you and start to pay attention so you know what boundaries to enforce for yourself both in business and your personal life.

Extroverts will look at their calendar to decide when they can fit more socializing in, and introverts look at their calendar to decide if they have enough downtime in order to commit to socializing.

I just had to do this. I spent 5 consecutive days with people for different reasons and the first thing I did was look at my calendar to see when my next stretch of alone time would be and I loved everyone I saw and everything I did- I had fun! And, I *still* needed time to be alone and recharge. I’m actually not anti social (though I joke that I am!) I’m actually HIGHLY social- and still need a ton of downtime.

If you’ve ever socialized with me, you’ll know that I don’t sit in a corner and cry when socializing- but when I get home I do…jk.
