Imagine a Life Free From the Bondage of Dieting

Intuitive eatin’ got ya freakin’?

No, but really- do you feel like you’re doing it right but you still feel guilty after eating “too much” of something?

Or do you feel like not dieting is a sham for people to “be lazy and eat whatever they want?” Those are common dieting thoughts that screw people up. It’s almost impossible to navigate not dieting when you’re still… well… dieting.

It’s also impossible to summarize what truly not dieting looks like in a post but here’s what you need to know:

Intuitive eating is not a weight loss tool. You may lose weight while intuitive eating, you may gain weight, or your weight may not change at all. Over time, your weight will stabilize at the weight that it’s meant to be. Your body isn’t dumb- it will maintain its healthiest weight all on its own. Imagine that.

Intuitive Eating is meant for people looking to make peace with food after years of being on the hamster wheel of chronic dieting and obsessive weight loss endeavors. Listen- if you’re cool with that life, carry on- but some of us are out here trying to NOT measure out ounces of peanut butter for the rest of our lives.

It’s not a careless free-for-all. You will learn that your body feels good when you eat a variety of foods that include fruits and vegetables. You’ll also learn that eating nothing but donuts doesn’t feel good. You’ll get better at tuning into what your body wants and needs. Sometimes it’s a big ass salad and other times it’s a bagel. Sometimes it’s pizza and other times peach yogurt.

You and your body will finally be in sync instead of at war with one another- you’ll know exactly what to eat and how much to eat- all on your own, just like eating was always meant to be. Go figure.
