I asked my therapist that a few weeks ago. I knew the answer and I was fully aware of the problem…
Awareness is *only* the first step. And I had been sitting with this awareness for a while and was waiting for that awareness to be enough. It’s not.
Behavior change after the awareness is where the magic is hiding. What are you going to DO with your awareness?
The secret is in DOING, not in knowing.
So take whatever it is you’re aware of and do something about it.
I had to take a page out of my own book for this one: don’t just talk about it, be about it. Awareness is the first step to change, but it *isn’t* the change.
I’m still not 100% sure what living my life even looks like right now to be honest, but it definitely involves being outside doing pull-ups in the trees from time to time.
