Are You Brave Enough to Feel Good About Your Body?

I used to think I helped women do this by helping them lose weight. All I did was cause a shit storm.

I helped them feel better but ONLY if they were smaller.

I helped them feel better but ONLY for a short time because the weight always comes back- with a vengeance no less, due to innate survival mechanisms whose jobs are to keep us alive.

Helping women feel better about their bodies without inherent weight loss is HARD.

It’s hard because feeling good about your body has nothing to do with your body at all.

The goal now isn’t inherent fat loss or inherent weight gain, it has nothing to do with your appearance at all.

We’ve waged war on food as the symptom to the hatred we have for our bodies. Making peace with food cannot come without making peace with your body. Sometimes it happens together, sometimes in a different order, but the intended outcome is the same:

You deserve to feel good about your body. No matter what it looks like. No matter what the world is begging of you. It’s not up to them, it’s up to you.
