A break does a body and business good.
For years, I never stepped away from work. What I was modeling to my clients was that they, too, should never step away from their fitness.
It’s healthy to take a break from work. Necessary.
And same for your clients, yes?
Here are some prompts to help you communicate your holiday break to your people.
If paying per session as they go, you’ll say:
“I’ll be taking a few days off over the holidays from x-x. I look forward to seeing you at your next session on x at x:xx!”
If client pays for multiple sessions at once, you’ll say:
“I’ll be taking a few days off over the holidays from x-x. I’ve adjusted the payment schedule to reflect this. Our next block of sessions will begin on x instead of y. I look forward to seeing you at our next session on x at x:xx!”
If client gets interim support, you’ll say:
“I’ll be taking a few days off over the holidays from x-x. X has been uploaded into the portal for you. I’ll be doing check-ins on x. I look forward to seeing you at our next session on x at x:xx!”
If clients have access to True Coach or similar:
“I’ll be taking a few days off over the holidays. I’ll be away from my computer from x-x. I look forward to reviewing your check-ins once I get back on x.”
If using a membership model:
Create de-load weeks to bake the time-off into the yearly calendar.
You’ll say:
‘Reminder, our deload week runs from x-x. I’ll be away from the gym and my computer until x. I look forward to seeing everyone at the start of our next cycle!”
