Money, Business, and the Wisdom of Your Body

We often think the “right” business decision is the one with the best numbers. But I had a moment with a client recently that reminded me: the truth isn’t always found in the spreadsheet.

We were working through her cash flow and tax planning. The spreadsheet told us she should be setting aside about $900/month into her tax bucket. Logically, it made sense. It was accurate. The math was sound.

But then I noticed her shoulders tense up. Her body physically reacted. There wasn’t space in that moment for a full coaching session around nervous system regulation, so instead of pushing her through the discomfort, we found a softer entry point: $300/month—a number her body could actually relax around.

And that’s the number we went with.

Here’s the thing:
Even the most “perfect” strategy doesn’t work if it sends your nervous system into a stress spiral. If your financial situation is already causing tension, and you try to implement a plan that feels even more rigid or overwhelming… you’re just adding fuel to the fire.

This is why I coach at the intersection of strategy and soul.
Spreadsheets matter. Systems matter. But so does safety. So does softness. So does your body’s wisdom.

Let your body weigh in.
That’s where the real progress begins.
